Transfer Next Steps

Congratulations on becoming a Titan! Please take the following steps to complete your enrollment:

1. Transfer Next Steps

Accept Your Offer:
Visit your personal admission portal to view your letter of admission and accept your admission.

Finance Your Education:
If you haven’t yet filed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) we recommend doing so. Annual submissions are available beginning on October 1st of the year prior to your enrollment. This is your access to federal and state grants you may be eligible to receive, low-interest rate student loans, and work-study funds. Don’t forget to list Detroit Mercy’s school code, 002323, as your first choice. Detroit Mercy will then create a package for you. You can view and accept your award via TitanConnect. Your Admissions Counselor will also review the information with you.

Advising & Registration:
Your official transfer credit evaluation will be mailed to you within two weeks of your admission. This evaluation will confirm how your previous coursework transferred to Detroit Mercy. It will also indicate whether placement testing is needed prior to registration. Be sure to reach out to your academic advisor to set up your first appointment—you can find his/her contact information in your letter of admission.

Resources and Tips:
TitanConnect or tc.udmercy.edu is your online source to conducting most of your University business, including viewing your financial aid award, registering for courses and checking your class grades. Check your personal email for TitanConnect login credentials.

Transfer Student Orientation is held once per year in the Summer. If you missed out on Orientation, don’t worry…you can find all you need through our Virtual Orientation.
